Talkpod was founded in 2012 in China, and in less than a decade has become one of the leaders in the local radio communications market. Talkpod's mission is to achieve high performance by solving commercial customers' problems and covering their needs for quality communications. The company spends more than 10 percent of its revenue per year on research in its centers. Talkpod supplies public communications systems solutions in more than 120 countries. Talkpod's core business is the production of digital DMR radios for private communication networks. The company was one of the first who joined the DMR Association in China in 2012 to develop and promote the standard. The D50 series of digital radios released after, covered user's business requirements by providing reliable communication and extensive functionality at a low operating cost.
DMR — Digital Mobile Radio (Digital Mobile Radio) is an open standard for digital radio communication, developed and described by ETSI (European Telecommunications Standards Institute) in 2005.
