Motorola Solutions introduces new radio for noisy environments

The new MOTOTRBO R7 digital DMR radio offers industrial-grade noise reduction, automatic audio controls and a powerful battery. It's a two-way digital DMR radio with a 2.4-inch screen that displays messages and notifications about the unit's current status.

Housed in a slim but rugged chassis, Motorola's new radio is designed for use in high noise environments such as industrial halls.

The MOTOTRBO R7 uses Bluetooth to connect to a variety of sensors, allowing quick access to a building's video surveillance system. This way, security personnel receive timely notification of security breach attempts, unauthorized entry or fire safety violations.

According to Katja Millard, vice president of corporate products at Motorola Solutions, the new MOTOTRBO R7 Series radio is designed for use in any work environment where immediate response to events around you is important. It's the choice of security personnel working at various sites, medical personnel in emergency departments and teachers who must coordinate student traffic.
